JDA Renewables was founded with the aim of promoting the transition to a sustainable future by leveraging the professional knowledge and experience acquired in environmental law, project management, permitting, legislation, government agency work and policy development. We base our operations on a good understanding of the different types of energy sources, the electricity grids and the energy system as a whole. In order to deliver complete solutions, we collaborate with a network of partners, experts and sub-consultants for the various competencies needed in project development of renewable energy.

Our team
Pairin Åhs
Project Coordinator & Head of Marketing
Pairin is the project coordinator for the Swedish operations and also handles administration and marketing She is also the CEO of Ecopia Energy, a partly owned company of JDA Renewables, where she is the primary contact in business development, land negotiations and stakeholder and government contacts. Pairin holds a bachelor’s degree in politicalscience from Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok and has a solid network of contacts in the public and private sectors in Thailand.
David Åhs
CEO & Chairman of the board
David is active in both project and consulting assignments in addition to his role as CEO. He holds a Master of Laws degree from Stockholm University and specializes in energy, climate and environmental law. David has worked in both the public and private sectors in Sweden and some periods in Australia, India and Thailand. Prior to founding JDA Renewables, David worked with onshore wind power project development at Vattenfall and with offshore wind power at Hexicon and Freja Offshore.
Anders Jansson
Senior Consultant & Environmental Permit Expert
With his long experience and knowledge, Anders can assist with solutions to most issues in the environment and permits areas. He has a degree in environmental science from Umeå University and a background as a Project Manager, Permit Specialist and Permit Strategist in wind power at Vattenfall. Prior to that, Anders was Environmental Manager at the municipality as well as an expert in the Environmental Assessment Delegation and Environmental Protection Director at the County Administrative Board.
Rohit Gupta
Senior Legal Consultant & General Counsel
Rohit is available for external assignments, besides his role as JDA General Counsel. He is a seasoned India qualified lawyer, with a vast legal experience of 23+ years of providing corporate transaction advisory & litigation services to various Indian & global entities. Rohit has held legal leadership positions in various organisations in the field of infrastructure, real estate, retail and aviation, with in-depth experience of complex contract transactions, project structuring, corporate compliance and general legal advisory.
