As part of the development of the electricity grid, plans are being made for co-located substations of regional and transmission grids in Öster Munga. We have signed a lease agreement for the land in close proximity to the planned substations and are investigating the possibility of connecting a battery storage facility with a capacity of 310 MW.

A larger battery storage facility in the region could contribute with stability and flexibility and to more even electricity prices to bidding area 3. Locally, it could contribute to more grid capacity for nearby industries and their opportunities for expansion. A larger battery storage facility can create opportunities for more connections to the electricity grid and increase transmission capacity in the region.
